Brrrr, it was chilly here this weekend! Saturday was rainy and cold and then today it started out chilly but at least there was no rain. Thank goodness too because we went to a Tiger's game today! We wore sweatshirts but when the sun came out we didn't need them.
Here's a nice panoramic view of the stadium.
The boys and I had a nice time.
Tyler tried out the fast pitch machine. I think his speed was 63mph. Not major league but not bad either.
The boys had a good time. We hit that hot dog stand behind them before the game started. Why is it that ball park hot dogs taste so good?
I finally got to see my favorite player, Magglio Ordonez, in the 8th inning when he was put in as a pinch hitter!
They were behind up until the bottom of the eighth and then they pulled it out. We had a nice time and it was good to be together. It's always nice to go to at least one game during the summer. Makes you feel like you're alive!
It's back to work for me tomorrow, though I did work a few days last week. Tomorrow is our official "kick off" where the Superintendent welcomes us back and tells us how wonderful we all are. Then it's back to our buildings to finish getting the rooms ready.
We should find out on Tuesday what's going on with Tyler. H-man and Tyler have an appointment with the surgeon and we should know if he'll require surgery or not. I'm really hoping it's not.
Then on Thursday Amber comes home, Friday we will all be together and plan to celebrate Scott's 21st birthday a few days early, Tyler leaves Saturday (if he doesn't need surgery) and then later that day we are having a small shower for Amber. It's just going to be some of my friends who have known her since she was a little girl and a few of her friends who are still around here. Then on Sunday we are going over to the other side of the state to see Andy's family for the day. Amber leaves Monday and things will be back to somewhat normal. Back to work, back to school, back to tired all the time.
